Gabriela Mistral was a well-known Chilean poet, who was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1945. She was also a teacher, and had an important role in the educational system of Chile.This unique book of 27 poems for younger readers both from Chile and the world brings her work closer to a New Zealand audience, with the poems appearing in Spanish, te reo Maori and English.
