Lopez has flown around the world many times in his role as a professional airlines pilot.
In additional to his skills in the public sector, he is also a passionate photographer.
His pictures capture breathtaking images of the many storms he has seen, the up--close lightning bolts, the swirling clouds and the surreal ghostly glow evident thousands of miles below on earth. An awesome portrait of Nature's brute force.

Author Biography: Santiago Borja, born in Quito, Ecuador, works as a pilot for an international airline. Since 2012, he has been first officer on a Boeing 767-300ER. The photographs he takes from the cockpit have won him a range of international prizes and are to be found in galleries worldwide. He lives in Quito.
