She illustrated THE ALPHABET FROM A TO Y, WITH BONUS LETTER, Z, the bestselling children's book by Steve Martin. Her own books include a comprehensive compilation of her favorite cartoons called THEORIES OF EVERYTHING and her New York Times/ bestselling and National Book Award finalist memoir, CAN'T WE TALK ABOUT SOMETHING MORE PLEASANT? She lives in Connecticut.
