A Complicated Case (#2 Detective Gordon)

Author(s): Ulf Nilsson

Junior Fiction | Detective | Gecko Press | Adventure

A warm and funny story from Detective Gordon’s forest about doing the right thing—and eating little cakes.

Something’s going on in the forest: one of the animals is saying nasty things about the other forest creatures. But no one dares make a statement to the police. Who is the culprit? Detective Gordon and his assistant Buffy must investigate! But this is a complicated case. The two police officers split the workload: Buffy questions the suspects, while Gordon stays in bed to think.

Review:
"This is a gentle story about supportive friendships and the importance of protecting vulnerable creatures, and it comes with a strong anti-bullying message. It's a nice introduction for children to how they can use their own moral compasses to decide what is good and bad behaviour." -- Otago Daily Times
"Once again, Nilsson delivers a rare gem of a book." -- School Library Journal, starred review
